Lahore (Tuesday, April 7, 2015) – Government of Punjab, Livestock and Dairy Development Department held a milk (doodh) competition. Best milk giving Buffalo, Cows and Goats. The result of competition is given bellow:-
Camel Milk Competition 2015
Camel Milk (Doodh) competition is being held from April 10 to April 12, 2015 at Jageet Pir District Bahawalpur.
Useful Information About Camel:-
1- Average life expectancy of a camel is 40 to 50 years.
2- Full grown adult camel height 6 feet 1 inch at the shoulder and 2.15 7 feet 1 inch at the hump.
3- Camels Speed, It can run at up to 65 kilometers per hour in short bursts and sustain speeds of up to 40 km/h.
4- Camels do not directly store water in their humps as was once commonly believed. The humps are actually reservoirs of fatty tissue: concentrating body fat in their humps minimizes the insulating effect fat would have if distributed over the rest of their bodies, helping camels survive in hot climates.When this tissue is metabolized, it yields more than one gram of water for every gram of fat processed.
